I am a DONA-trained doula who first became interested in birth work after the birth of my first child. Since then, I have been learning all I can about birth and supporting families as they prepare to meet their babies. My own experiences with pregnancy, birth, and loss have contributed even more to my desire to come alongside others with a compassionate and tender-hearted spirit during this precious time.
Before becoming a mom, I was an ESL teacher who worked with students from many different countries, and most recently taught in China. These experiences helping international students adjust to life in the U.S., as well as my own experience feeling lost, lonely, and scared in a foreign country, are a part of why I enjoy helping women during birth as it can also feel foreign and scary!
When I’m not chasing after my two energetic little boys, I enjoy spending time with my husband, cooking, baking, and walking.
