Hello! My name is Kayla (she/her/hers) and I have been a DONA-trained birth doula since 2018. I am currently a student at Midwives College of Utah and am pursuing my Bachelors of Science in Midwifery. For the past seven years I have been a middle school Social Studies teacher and am now transitioning to full-time birth work. I am the type of birth doula that stays up-to-date on the latest information, an advocate for consent and communication, and I will hear, see, and validate your needs. I cannot wait to get to know more about your wants and needs, and support you during your birth experience!

When I am not supporting birthing persons, you can find me in my canoe in the Boundary Waters, my garden tending to squash (personal favorite!), or listening to Nina Simone and the Avett Brothers on my record player.
