There are three things in life that I take very seriously. The Minnesota State Fair, teaching my babies to treat & love others as their faith inspires them to do, and making sure every birth parent I meet has the birth they envision and deserve. Being the oldest of four, I feel like I have been around pregnancy and birth my entire life. I can remember reading “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” at a young age and becoming fascinated with what my own mother was going through while pregnant with my brothers. It wasn’t until I had my second child at this very birth center, that I realized the importance of having a birth doula on my care team. I felt so empowered, educated, and supported with every aspect of my journey. After comparing my first and second birth stories, I knew right then and there that I had found my calling. I vowed to reach as many birth parents as I could, to help them find the resources they were looking for, and to offer them the same empowered feeling that I had found in pregnancy and birth. Most importantly, I vowed to support them mentally, physically, and emotional on their very own journey while providing a judgment-free environment. I look forward to meeting you all and hope that you come away from this chapter with the birth that you deserve!
