Thank you all so much for creating such a warm, nurturing setting for our baby’s arrival into this world! It could not have been more perfect. I am eternally grateful to you ladies for your emotional and physical support during my labor– you inspired me to stay strong and made this birth an incredible experience that our little family will cherish forever.
Administrative Director
Emily attended Gustavus Adolphus College and is a Twin Cities enthusiast. She has almost ten years HR experience from her time in the staffing industry. Emily became interested in how the midwifery model of care empowers women after her personal experience of transferring from a hospital system to MBC mid-way through her third pregnancy. Emily is humbled to support the midwives and nurses of this organization. She lives in Minneapolis with her family and enjoys all things French, cooking, and dystopian novels.
Billing Associate & Administrative Support
Angie is a Minnesota native and spent most of her childhood in the city of Ramsey, northwest of the Twin Cities. She is a mom to two boys, including one born at home. After 10 years working as a birth doula and volunteering with the Childbirth Collective, she needed to change gears and find work that allowed her to stay connected to birthing families and have a break from being on call 24/7. She got her start at MBC as a Clinic Coordinator and now serves on the Billing Team. In her free time, Angie enjoys traveling, paddleboarding, hiking, live music and reading.
Minneapolis Clinic Coordinator
Jennifer left her twelve-year gig as a stay-at-home mom to four to join the Minnesota Birth Center team. Her comfort with out-of-hospital birth and deep belief in the value of the kind of care available at MBC make it a great fit. She lives with her husband and four children in south Minneapolis.
Clinic Coordinator
Sarah is a birth doula in training as well as a birth & maternity photographer. She went to college in Iowa and has since moved to Minneapolis and lives with her fiancé. The midwifery model of care is so important to her as well as educating about bodily autonomy in the women’s health space. On the weekends you can find Sarah in her veggie garden, reading books and cooking with her partner! MBC is the place to be and she is so excited to be part of the family!
St. Paul Clinic Coordinator
Torrey grew up in southern Minnesota and has called Minneapolis home for nearly 6 years. She is a wife and the mother of two children, both born at MBC Minneapolis. Torrey has a rich appreciation for the transformative power of birth, and is combining her background in interfaith spiritual accompaniment with a postpartum care certification to serve mothers on the childbearing continuum. At MBC, she’s excited to get to know and collaborate with the team in support of birthing families.
St. Paul Clinic Coordinator
Shelby recently graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa where she played tennis and studied Identity Studies. In college, she was able to attend several home births with a traditional midwife where she quickly learned her love for the birth world. Shelby is passionate about advocating for birth rights and the midwifery model of care. She has just moved to Minneapolis and is excited to be a part of a wonderful organization and begin a new journey!

Clinic Coordinator
My name is Madeline, and I’m so excited to be joining the team here at MBC as a clinic coordinator. I think that working in the women’s health, pregnancy and birth space is really special and I am so honored to be here. I grew up in the Chicago area, moved to the twin cities for college (I went to Bethel University & studied social work), and married a MN man- so we are here to stay! My interests/passions include all things outdoors – hiking, climbing, camping, backpacking, mountaineering, canoeing, etc. I also love music and going to shows at local venues. I love to travel and have spent quite a bit of time in South/Central America, where I learned to speak Spanish. My husband and I are expecting a baby girl in July, which we are very excited about.
