Our goal is to provide the support, experience, and skills to make your birth experience safe and empowering. We also provide the option of water birth if desired. For some women, waterbirth allows significant comfort, relaxation, and progression of labor during the labor and birth experience.

Birth is an experience that is unique to each mother and baby. Evidence based research has shown that natural birth without unnecessary interventions provides a quicker healing process for mothers and a healthy beginning for your baby. Birth is also a special family experience. We encourage you to make those closest to you a part of your experience. We encourage women and their families to educate themselves and research evidence based pregnancy care to make informed health care decisions for themselves and their baby. Our goal is to provide the safest, gentlest, most seamless birth options for women. We strive to provide continuity of care for mothers and their babies. Our Certified Nurse Midwives have privileges at Abbott Northwestern Hospital and will go with you across the street to the hospital and continue your care, if possible, should a transfer to a hospital be indicated.
