Hello! My name is Denika Anderson, and I’m a certified doula. I have an MA in women’s studies in religion from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities and wrote my thesis on the role of story and experience in women’s understanding of the Divine. Additionally, I serve on the Advisory Council for the Regions Hospital Birth Center in St. Paul, MN. I completed my doula training through Stillbirthday, an organization that trains doulas to provide support for any birth, in any trimester, with any outcome. While I frequently serve families experiencing perinatal loss, I love to serve uncomplicated live births as well. Having my own experience with loss, high-risk live birth, and uncomplicated live birth, I am honored to meet families where they’re at, especially when their road to building their family has not been a smooth one. No matter what your gestational history looks like, I would love to serve your family!
